Taika Waititi (born Taika David Cohen) is an Academy Award, Grammy, and BAFTA winning actor, comedian and filmmaker from New Zealand. He is most notably known for his feature films Boy, What We Do In the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Jojo Rabbit, as well as for directing the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder, but has also starred in RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under, Flight of the Conchords and Rick and Morty among other things. He is also a prolific commercial director, having most notably directed "The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made," a pre-flight safety ad for Air New Zealand.
