In 1717, Stede Bonnet, an aristocratic pirate, abandons his comfortable life and sets sail aboard the Revenge during the Golden Age of Piracy. Despite having little skill for his role as Captain of the Revenge, Bonnet departs with an honest crew. What ensues is a struggle to keep them alive and a battle to ward off deadly threats and other pirates.
