Wee John Feeney is a character in Our Flag Means Death played by Kristian Nairn.
Physical Appearance[]
John is a large man, both very tall and broad. His arms and forearms are covered in tattoos and he has several stars tattoed on his head.
Personality[]
John is a pyromaniac who likes fire very much. Uncharacteristicly for a pirate, he owns a doll.
History[]
John is a member of Stede Bonnet's crew. Very little is known about his life prior to joining the crew, but he claims he used to sew dresses for his mother before he became a pirate.[1] Aboard the Revenge he partakes in many crew activities, including flag-sewing and Stede's fuckery during which he plays a cat to Frenchie's witch. When Stede and Blackbeard take the Act of Grace, John immediately gets in trouble with Izzy Hands, who takes over as the captain, and later takes an active part in the mutiny, carrying an anchor tied to Izzy's feet as the crew plan to drown him. When Blackbeard comes back to the ship after being abandoned by Stede, John is stranded on a desert island with most of the crew.

Stede Bonnet[]
Although Stede is John's captian, John doesn't have a lot of respect for him initially, due to Stede's particular way of managing the crew. He directly refuses to follow Stede's guidelines for the crew's "vacation" after the ship runs aground. During their time together they slowly grow closer and the whole crew become each other's chosen family.
Izzy Hands[]
John despises Izzy right from their first meeting because of Izzy's disciplinarian nature and focus on efficiency. During Izzy's time as the captain of the Revenge, John quickly angers him with a crude remark about Izzy's idea to rename the ship "Izzy's Revenge", resulting in Izzy taking away his food rations of a week. Because of this, John is eager to vote for mutining against Izzy and takes an active part in an attempt to drown Izzy.
Frenchie[]
Frenchie seems to be John's closest friend aboard the Revenge. They take part in Stede's fuckery together with Frenchie playing the witch and John playing her cat, and when Oluwande gives up his room, John helps Frenchie claim it in return for roommate rights.

- John's doll wasn't originally in the script and was added by Kristian Nairn in order to add depth to the character.[2]
